AI assistant

Administrator Assistant Professional

If your plan includes AI assistant, the API access for assistants, you can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your Turno Virtual account so it helps you with your schedule: ask it which appointments you have tomorrow, ask it to find the first free time and book the appointment, or to set an appointment to Attended.

What the assistant can do

The assistant does the same things you can do in the portal, no more and no less: your role decides. It can see your schedules, their appointments, their free times and their blocked times, and, if you have the permissions to do so in the Schedule, book appointments, move them, change their status and block times, only in the schedules you see. This is the same as what the API's Management access allows with a personal key: the details are in API integration.

Everything it does is recorded the same as if you did it from the portal: it appears under your name in the appointment's Activity, and your client receives the same emails.

The URL for your assistant

To connect an assistant you use one URL, the same for everyone: https://turnovirtual.com/mcp/manage. You also find it in My profile (your photo, top right), in the API keys and Connected apps tabs, as AI assistant URL (MCP): click Copy to copy it.

The URL doesn't say which account the assistant works in. If you connect it by signing in, it can act in every Company you belong to whose plan includes AI assistant (or, if you work in a branch, that branch), with your role in each; if you connect it with a key, only in that key's account. In every answer, Turno Virtual tells the assistant which account it comes from, so it can tell you which Company or branch its answer is about.

If the assistant reaches more than one account, it has to say which one each request is for. If you don't tell it, it asks you, or it looks up your accounts first: it sees each one with your role there.

There are two ways to connect it, depending on the tool: by signing in from the assistant, or with an API key.

Connect by signing in

This is how claude.ai, the Claude apps and ChatGPT connect, without a key:

  1. Copy the AI assistant URL (MCP).
  2. In the assistant, add a custom connector and paste the URL. Depending on the tool, the option may be called connector or app.
  3. The assistant opens Turno Virtual: sign in with your Turno Virtual user, the same way you sign in to the portal.
  4. Connect opens with the app's name (for example, Connect Claude). There you see which app wants to connect (Claude wants to connect to your account), the site you go back to when you allow it and, under The app will be able to act in, every Company or branch it will act in. There is nothing to choose: one connection works in all of them. Check that the site is your assistant's: allow it only if you trust it. The screen also has a link to the Privacy policy, which explains what data from your account the assistant can read and what it can do with your account.
  5. Click Allow. You go back to the assistant, now connected.

If you click Cancel instead of Allow, the assistant isn't connected. If your user doesn't have active access to any Company whose plan includes AI assistant, the connection can't be made and Turno Virtual tells you so.

When you connect it, you receive an email, You connected an app to your Turno Virtual account, which names you and the app you connected, says that it can act in every Company and branch you belong to whose plan includes AI assistant, and says where to disconnect it. If it wasn't you, disconnect it and change your password.

Connect with a key

Tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Claude Desktop can also connect with an API key:

  1. Create a personal key in My profile, API keys tab, with the AI assistant access checked, and copy it.

  2. In your tool's MCP server settings, enter the AI assistant URL (MCP) and add the X-Api-Key header with your key. For example, in Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http turnovirtual https://turnovirtual.com/mcp/manage --header "X-Api-Key: vit_<prefix>_<secret>"

With a personal key, the assistant acts on your behalf and with your role's permissions, the same as if you connected by signing in, but only in the account where you created the key. Administrator can also check AI assistant on an account key, from Integrations › API keys: with that key the assistant can only read, like with any account key.

Connected apps and disconnecting

In My profile, Connected apps tab, you see every app you connected by signing in from it, whichever Company you are working in, with its App name, when you connected it (Created) and when it was Last used. The tab appears if any Company you belong to has a plan that includes AI assistant. Connected apps don't appear in the API keys tab: that tab lists only the keys you created yourself.

To disconnect one, click Disconnect: it loses access to all your accounts right away. To use it again, connect it again from the app.

A connected app is yours, not the Company's: Administrator doesn't see it in Integrations › API keys and can't delete it. Only you disconnect it.

What a connected app reaches follows your access, checked on every request. If your Status in a Company is changed so you can no longer sign in, if you are removed from it, or if its plan stops including AI assistant, the app stops working there and keeps working in your other accounts. If your role there changes, the app acts with your new role from then on.

What the assistant reads from your account reaches that tool because you connected it, and its use is subject to that provider's terms, as the Terms and Conditions state.
