Announcements
An announcement is a message for your whole team, or for the people with certain roles, that is shown until the date you choose. It is useful for general notices: a change in opening hours, a holiday, some news. Announcements are available if your plan includes messaging: see your plan. To talk to a single person, use Chats.
See announcements
Click Announcements in the top bar. If someone on your team posted an announcement you haven't read yet, you see a notice right there.
Active lists the current announcements addressed to your role, newest first, with who sent each one and when. Click one to read it in full: when you open it, it is marked as read.
If you are using Turno Virtual when a new announcement for you is posted, a notice with its title appears at the top of the screen. Click the notice to read it.
If you have a Branch assigned in your Permissions, you see the announcements posted in that branch. See add your team.
Send an announcement
Anyone on the team can send one. In Announcements, click New announcement and fill in:
- Title: the first thing your team sees, in the notice and in the list.
- Expiration: the day the announcement stops being shown.
- Recipients: choose which roles receive it: Administrator (the people responsible for the account), Assistant, Professional (Desk on the Administrative account type) and Web editor. See the roles for what each of the first three does. You can check more than one; to reach the whole team, check them all.
- Message: the full text of the announcement.
When you save it, it is shown to the people with those roles.
How long it is shown
An announcement is shown in Active until around the day of its Expiration. If you want it to be shown for a whole day, choose the following day as the Expiration.
Your announcements
In My announcements you see the announcements you sent, with their Expiration and their Recipients, including the ones that are no longer shown.
